PSY A 39 – Overcome fear of death

Many people experience terrible things in their lives: war and terror, violence and abuse. You may have been in a situation where you want to flee or fight, but you are powerless, helpless, and scared to death.

It is typical of traumatic experiences that they far exceed our ability to process them. People who have experienced rape, maltreatment and sexual abuse in childhood or acts of war are particularly at risk for developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Trauma often triggers a stress response. Body and mind are on alert for survival. This initially developing acute stress reaction is completely normal. However, trauma sequelae disorders may develop. So the feelings of helplessness and fear of death can come up again and again. For weeks, months or even years, the impressions are still so present that they trigger fear and terror.

The chip should help to better overcome the fear of death.
