Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) is an inflammatory rheumatic disease. The term polymyalgia is also commonly used. Because the immune system attacks the body’s own tissue, it is an autoimmune disease.
The attack of the misdirected immune system in PMR triggers inflammatory changes in the shoulder, upper arm, pelvic and thigh muscles, for example, as well as in the neighboring soft tissues (such as bursae). Therefore, the disease is colloquially called inflammatory soft tissue rheumatism or muscular rheumatism.
The chip is intended to give impulses to the body on the energetic level to restore an intact immune system.
